IMPORTANT : Junior Training Monday 11/12/17 7PM. Due to the icy conditions and the fact that we cannot use some of the internal facilities at St Michaels school, we may have to cancel some or all of the sessions (risk assessment tonight). Juniors suffering any illness or who suffer when in cold conditions should not attend this week. Juniors that do attend should be dressed accordingly for sub-zero conditions. All being well, normal service will be resumed next week.

A great big thanks to all who helped before, during and after the Red Rose XC event today in Astley Park, and to Stan Jewell who has been pulling together the event for the last few months. Also, well done to all the runners who braved the MUD on this year's course.

spikes or well gripped trail shoes would be good

Tickets for the Christmas party (Saturday 16th December) will be on sale from Thursday 9th November. They will be sold on Mondays (St Michael's) and Thursdays (Chorley Cricket Club) by myself or Hannah.
They are £15 per person for a casino, DJ and 3 courses from 'The Bees Country Kitchen' at Chorley Cricket Club.
If you have any dietary requirements, just let us know as you buy your ticket.
Tickets can be bought by cash or bank transfer (details below) with 'Christmas do' as reference. We will check transfers weekly and pass tickets on the following week. All tickets need to be paid for in advance, please.

We are hosting the Red Rose XC event in Astley Park on Saturday 11th November. These events require a lot of effort before, during and afterwards by club members. If you are able to spend a few hours on the Saturday (and you are not competing) to help marshal, this would be much appreciated by your club and the Red Rose XC community. You can get involved. Anybody fancy a bit of adult Track and Field? We have teamed up with Horwich to provide a track and field team in the four Northern Athletic events during Summer. The format is similar to the juniors YDL competition and is just as much fun. It is a great opportunity to maybe try things you have never done before e.g. sprints, relays, hammer, steeplechase, hurdles, etc. If you are interested in coming to any of the events to compete or help, please contact Rick or Simon. PS The first one is on Saturday 6th May.
