The next Aquathlon we're encouraging athletes to join is at Westhoughton 8th June. There are races for under 8s as well as parents/coaches/supporters. They also allow team running, so one person can swim and another run. Sounds like a fun day out! Enter directly at:

Busy week ahead so don't miss out!
We have the AGM 7.30 on Tuesday at the Cricket Club so please come along with your views. Papers have been circulated and are on the web site and please bring your copy as copies on the evening are limited. I will also be bringing the vests so if anyone want to purchase a vest they can do that. And then our races at Astley Park on Wednesday juniors 7.00 and seniors 7.30 so please support either by running or by helping in the organisation with Marshalls etc.
We have also produced the first copy of our newsletter and those will be available on Wednesday at the race and at subsequent training sessions so make sure you get your copy and tell us what you think about it and what you would want to see in next months edition.

Junior Pike race results. There was a fantastic turn out from the club with 17 runners across the 5 age ranges. Most had never attempted this before and the effort put in by the athletes was excellent, especially as most had only completed 2 training sessions. The effort put in by everyone was brilliant. We had several top 10 finishes and the result of the day going to Daniel Lilley finishing 3rd in the under 10's. A huge thank you to Anna Marie Crabtree for delivering the training sessions and the parents for supporting their children..great turn out and a well done for those that stayed on to support the adults race.
All apologies for the organisers delay in delivering the results and they will be posted on here later by Simon.

We've received the following offer. Anyone interested please contact chorleytri.junior@gmail.com & we'll allocate free place on random basis at AGM?: Xtra Mile are donating 1 free entry to your club for the The Rhyl Sprint Triathlon Festival, this is a new triathlon with a sheltered, safe swim in Rhyl’s beautiful Marine Lake. Only 5’ deep all over there is always an option to put your foot down if necessary. Transition is on the quayside with an easy in and out.
The new cycle route is a closed road, multi lap, criterium style leg along the sea front. We expect lots of spectators with commentary along the route – riders will be identified by their timing chips so expect your name shouted out.
The run is a fast, flat run along the newly built sea front finishing with a lap of the lake before finishing next to transition.
This race is ideal for open water novices or super-fast sprint triathletes, for more information please visit:
