Success for Malc Christie in his Bob Graham Round attempt. He started from Keswick's Moot hall on Friday at midnight and after 72 grueling miles over the 42 highest peaks of Lakeland with 27,000ft of Ascent and the same again in descent, he returned to Moot Hall and a rapturous welcome, 22hrs 40mins later.

It's that time again - Northern Track and Field League on Sunday at Salford for U17s and above. The CLUB needs as many people as possible - the more events we can get people into the more points we gain. Every point really does count as last time we were only one point behind the team ahead of us and one point ahead of the next team. With a good turn out this time we could maintain our challenge for promotion as it is really close after 2 rounds.
More ladies in particular would be welcome as we didn't even have enough for a relay team last time.
(And if anyone, male or female can pole vault that would be a huge points getter!)

Message for young athletes who attend Tuesday and Thursday training sessions with me.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused; i need to change my nights off training as follows :
I will now be doing a training session at Horwich track on Thursday 4th July, Training will go ahead Tuesday 9th July at Worthington Lakes (6:30pm)and Horwich , Thursday 11th July.
Time trial course will go ahead Tuesday 16th July at Worthington Lakes.
There will then be no training Thursday 18th July, Tuesday 23rd July and Tuesday 30th July.
If you need to speak to me about any training , please do not hesitate to ask.

Chorley's Great Hill Fell Race is this Saturday at Brinscall Festival. If you can't run, please help. Helpers meet at 14:00 on event field, runners start at 15:00. The event is great fun, with tea (or stronger) and cakes available throughout the whole day :)

Results for the Aquathlon on 9th June - excellent results especially as it was every junior chorley athlete's first time at a triathlon type event.
M Whalley - 9th in S1 girls, T1 category, H Wilson - 1st in S2 boys, T2 category, J Wilson - 6th in T3 boys category, M Ingram - 4th in Youth girls category. WELL DONE!

yes ian you are right did simon get right points for 800m adams time is wrong he ran 16.49 not 17.49 and we need to make sure we had a full set of officials we was done out of second place last time hope we are not done again

Tonight's Interclub race is from the Sports Club on Factory Lane, Penwortham. New 4 mile course all on paths. Parking and toilets are normally available at start/finish.

I've just looked at the results as well. They are wrong. If they put the A and the B sections together they gave the B section their points depending on their position in the race not just the B racers.

We need to get those results double checked - we weren't given the full 11 points for my 400H and the high jump points should be shared as I had an identical record to the hyndburn 1.50 jumper (we were both clear all the way and only failed at 1.55). But as it stands (1 point behind Wigan) it goes to show that every single point does count!
