Very well done to all who competed in the XC at the weekend, especially all the senior/veteran men, proudly representing their club in good style.

Lancashire Sports Hall is next Sunday for anyone aged 8+ to U15 age group. The club is paying registration fee for members who want to take part. It's a fun day out & U11 boys currently 2nd team, U15 girls 5th & U11 girls 10th place. Let me know if you'll be competing by Friday lunchtime. Forms available at Mon Holy Cross & Thu Parklands training & by email. As we proved yesterday, being part of a team & winning medals is great! Also, still time to be selected for Lancashire teams. At least 2 have already been selected. Anyone else been called up?

To nickolas fowler 19th and byron baker u17men sorry furgus was injured and not able to make a team but well done to you both knowing how little xcountry you both have done.. so hope next year is good to all four

yes well done to both u11 teams what pleased me was the fact that if our 4th runners had not been there our 5th runners in both girls and boys would have made the same silver medal places so a big thank you to you all for a super team turn out >>>>>>

Further to the messages about the cross country on Saturday lets get as many of our young athletes out as possible. For the U11s it's 4 to count for the team with 6 getting medals - last year the boys missed out by 6 points because one of the 'regulars' didn't make it, so its important that everyone turns out as you all contribute.
Entry on the day and its only down the road at Blackburn - just make sure you get there in plenty of time ;)!!

Sat. 5th Jan - Lancs XC Champs at Witton Park, Blackburn. Lets try for a full Club turnout to demonstrate the strength of the new Chorley Club and to support those officials who have donated a lot of their time to put on these XC races for us. How many of us can be selected for the Inter-Counties ? Last year CAC had 5 medalists and 2 county selections - lets beat that with the new Club !

Very wet, very windy and very muddy Auld Lang Syne fell race, loved it, I don't think I would have done this without the club support. Thank you Stuart and John.

Huge congratulations to Darren Fishwick on completing his 100th Fell Race for the year, as previously reported.
That is some accomplishment and so inspiring for others, so very well done Darren.
For all those interested he has been asked to list all those races he did on the FRA website, so keep your eyes peeled.
Dave.

Darren, that's a compliment by the way. Ask Gilly, being called an animal means youve made it! Well done.

For myself and as Mens captain I'd just like to add my thanks to Steve, Paul Allison, Simon, Cath and Annya for organising and being involved in the clubs first Christmas do.
It may have been different to what many of us are used to but I think it went very well and everyone looked to be enjoying themselves, so well done to all.
I hope next year Everyone supports the Christmas do in whatever format it takes.
Dave Lee.
