MID LANCS TRACK AND FIELD
1. The fixture at Edge Hill University, Ormskirk, on 30th July has been brought forward to Saturday 23rd July. The reason for this is that important electrical work is now scheduled for Edge Hill on 30th July and was likely to at least cause significant delay to the start of our meeting.
2. The Medal Meeting scheduled for Saturday 27th August has been moved to a different venue: - to Leigh Sports Village. We are grateful to Leigh Harriers for accommodating us on 27th August.

The Junior Fell Race (up t'nab) is this Thursday. Race starts at 19:00. Please pre-enter if you can. All runners entering on the night should meet in the car ark at the back of the Bretherton Arms at 18:15. We also need adult helpers, and they should also meet in the same place and and time.

Only two Chorley runners headed to the far North York Moors for the Lazonby 10k. Back after many years of injury and no racing, Stephe Fletcher was pleased with his sub-63 min time on a very hilly course in 26C temperatures. Simon Townsend just missed a top 10 finish with a time of 48:31.

The first Badger 10K of 2016 in Cuerden Park was contested by a few Chorley athletes in lovely conditions with Martin Quinn(6th & 2nd V40), David Parkinson(14th & 1st V45), Dan Edwards(28th), Mark Bond(48th), Jane Bowles(96th & 4th F45), Kevin Thompson(116th), Alison Fowler(156th) & Mike Coppin(192nd & 2nd V70). Chorley were the 3rd team overall.

Also thank you to all members who have paid their 2016-17 subscription. Please note that the deadline for renewing with England Athletics is rapidly approaching. So could anyone who is intending to subscribe this year please sort their payment and form as soon as possible. Anyone not signed up by the end of June will automatically be unregistered by England Athletics. This can have implications in preventing unregistered runners from being eligible to compete in Track & Field, Cross Country and Club Relays etc.
Please let me know if anyone has any queries.
