On Thursday, its pizza night again .. hooray!!!
This time it will be a night of celebration for all the marathoners, triathletes and especially for Anna-Maria (as its nearly her big 50). There will be cake as well - double horray!
Chorley Cricket club - Run at 7:30pm and Pizza and cake will be from around 8:30pm for anyone who isn't running (I need to know no.s and pref have your £5 for pizza by 7:30pm for those not running).

Calling all bakers! Bakers of all ages, your Club needs you!
There will be a Cake Stall run by volunteers at the Duathlon on Saturday 7th May in Astley Park. All donations, by budding and experienced bakers, to the stall for us to sell will help to boost funds to the club. The stall will also help to feed hungry athletes, spectators and volunteers!
We can receive cakes on the Friday before and then leave them in the Pavilion on Astley Park overnight. They MUST be covered, or in boxes, labelled with names if the boxes are to be returned to you. Please bring donations to the Pavilion between 5pm and 6pm on Friday 6th May, or from 8.30am, direct to the Cake Stall on Saturday 7th May.
There will be a prize of £5 for the most delicious looking home-made donation! Bought donations would be just as gratefully accepted however!

With prizes presented from race sponsor Up&Running, medals and a goody bag for all finishers, chip timing and former GB athlete Katie Hewison offering advise on the day, the Chorley Duathlon will be a rewarding, fun and inspiring event to take part in.
The event is part of the North West Junior Triathlon series, but also encourages everyone to have a go with options for beginners to take part in either team relays or the shorter individual sprint distance races.
Alongside the races there will be entertainment and music for spectators with stalls from Up&Running, the Bike Cabin, Pedals and Spokes, cake and nutrition stalls and Active Nation Leisure Centre who will be giving away free membership with their 'beat the instructor' competition.

Your Club Needs You - The club is hosting the first Astley Trail Series event on 4th May, followed by the Katie Hewison Duathlon on 7th May. As a result we would be grateful for any help marshalling, time-keeping, etc. that club members can do. Both events are in Astley Park. More details to follow soon and/or contact myself. Hi All,
There has been a change of one of the 'Road/Trail' GP Series - The Worden Park 10k clash with the Calderdale Relays on the 15th May - This is a club event and takes priority. I've now included the Preston Interclub race on the 11th May as part of the 'Road/Trail' GP Series and so the Worden Park 10k will not be included in the points system. I'm sorry if anyone has booked it - like myself but it will still be a great local event.

Blackpool's Winter Warmer event gave an early opportunity for some of Chorley's juniors to test themselves against athletes from the North West at track and field. U11 Lauren Waddington took a 1st and 3rd place in the 80m and 600m respectively. Sister U9 OIivia was 11th in 80m and 8th in the 600m. New to the U11 category, Alayana Ahmed also very well with a 3rd place in 80m, 4th in Long Jump and 9th in 600m. Abigail Bull jumped to 7th in the Long Jump, coupled with good performances in 80m and 600m.
